What Drives You?
This week, I’m not posting something on A Leader’s Life, just a reflection I had last night. Our usual schedule of posting will resume on Friday.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling down. Burned out perhaps. Or just plain unmotivated. I just came from Berlin, Germany last Saturday and my mind went back to mulling over my job and the activities I do.
My schedule is full. No doubt about it. I write. I blog. I translate from English to Ilocano and vice versa. I organize trainings. I speak at events. And I do so many things!
Yet, there is that nagging feeling that I am not maximizing the use of my skills and talents.
While the jeepney I rode plied through the streets of Manila last night, I re-discovered my motivation and my purpose. When I did, I was trying hard to suppress the smile of relief that threatened to break through my face. It was as if I suddenly found a secret spice that made a meal really special. It lit up a darkened corner inside my heart.
